I have always enjoyed giving and receiving massage, an interest that matured as I became aware of the integrative potential for mind/body healing. I received my diploma from À Fleur De Peau, a professional massage therapy school in Quebec, which included training in anatomy, physiology, counselling and ethics, as well as the practical aspects of massage therapy. I am a fully accredited member of the Can-American Association of Massage Therapists

Type of Massage – What to expect

I received training in Californian, Swedish, and Shiatsu massage. The soothing rhythmic movements of Californian massage contrast with the ancient Chinese art of Shiatsu, that directs pressure over and into blocked energy meridians. Swedish massage, with its combination of effleurage, petrissage, tapotement, and friction, offers techniques that work between these two extremes.

I tailor the movements I use in a particular massage to the client’s needs, as they change from session to session. For example, if you’re super-stressed after a bad week, I might combine soothing Californian movements over the whole body with more targeted Swedish techniques to reset tension lines in the neck, shoulders and back. Alternatively, if a you’ve been having trouble sleeping for a while, I might use shiatsu to open energy channels in blocked muscles to relieve patterns of stiffness.

Whatever the reason for your appointment, I will work hard to listen to your needs, expressed both verbally, and through your body, tuning in and synchronising with you, to give the best relaxation I can offer.

Massage sessions last for 90 minutes and cost $90. Official ACAM receipts are available for insurance purposes.
